One desktop has a built in parallel port, the other has a parallel PCIe LPT card ( WCH chipset ) which I bought recently. I have tried the software on two different machines, one was quickly rebuilt to rule out the possibility that the PCIe card was the culprit. Or would this be an issue with the TopMax's software/hardware ? Anyone else have this kind of issue with M27C160s ? Is it likely that both chips are faulty or won't erase in this location only ( seems unlikely to me ). ![]() Out of fear of damaging the chips, I'm reluctant to keep them exposed to the eraser any longer.īoth chips seem to have the exact same data at offsets 0x400 & 0x401 with the values 0xDF00 and 0x4E00 (See attached). ![]() I have a couple of ST M27C160 EPROMs that someone sent in for programming but both appear not to erase completely. ![]() I posted a similar thread on KLOV but there are some really knowledgeable people in here that can help too :)
